CGS1555 Internet

Prerequisite(s): documented exemption, appropriate placement test scores or completion of developmental education reading.
This is a comprehensive course that focuses on the details of the Internet from an intermediate level. Students will compare and contrast Web browsers, search tools and a variety of utilities most often used with current Internet technologies. Hands-on activities include configuring browsers, installing plug-ins, creating and publishing basic HTML documents, and uploading and downloading files and various Web applications. Course content also covers basic email, security and networking concepts related to Internet connectivity. Contact: 3 hours. Additional fee.
