FSU Requirements for Admission as Social Work Major (B.S.W.)
GPA: Overall GPA of 2.0 or higher without grade forgiveness
Note: This is a limited-access major. An application, resume and personal statement are required. Students must have at least 60 credit hours by the time of entry in the program.
Communications: Complete General Education requirements (6 credit hours)*
Humanities: Complete General Education requirements (6 credit hours)*
History: Complete General Education requirements (6 credit hours)*
Personal Development: Complete General Education requirements (3 credit hours)*
Instruction in the U.S. Constitution:
Foreign Language (Select one of the following options)
- Two credits of the same foreign language in high school
- 8 credit hours of the same foreign language or American Sign Language at the college level
Computer Competency Requirement: Complete General Education requirement (credit hours vary)

Multicultural: Not required for admission to FSU, but required for graduation from FSU. Students may satisfy the requirement at FSU, or may satisfy the requirement with one of the following TCC courses:
