Professional Development

As we encourage our young scholars to Keep the Gears Constantly Moving, it is very important for our Educators, Counselors, and Administrators to do the same. Check out these websites for more information on continuing your Professional Development.


Using research findings to create successful frameworks for action, NCCEP (National Council for Community and Education Partnerships) aims to invigorate the principle of equal educational opportunity for all students. NCCEP’s work is intended ultimately to:
  • help improve public education,
  • increase students' academic achievement levels, and,
  • increase low-income students' access to higher education.
NCCEP brings together colleges and universities with local K–12 schools, parent groups, businesses, government agencies, foundations, corporations, and community-based organizations to create systemic change in education.

Ongoing professional development is critical to supporting student and teacher success. AVID has created a calendar/booklet that provides a one-stop listing of AVID professional development opportunities, including: AVID Awareness and Program Planning Sessions; AVID District Leadership Events; Path and AVID Teacher Training; National Events; and Two-Day Administrative Trainings for Principals.

College Board

The College Board offers a series of engaging and informative workshops on SAT preparation topics. These workshops will help you improve your student’s writing skills and prepare your students for the tests and college success. Workshops are offered in two formats, public and private.


SpringBoard is a unique, comprehensive program that enables students to build the skills and understanding they need for success in AP courses and college-level work without remediation. This powerful program provides rigorous English and mathematics lessons for all students in grades 6-12.

TCC Workforce Development Center 

TCC's Workforce Development Center offers customized courses and services developed to enhance employees’ careers, programs to improve business effectiveness and support for returning adult learners.  The center also provides training courses effective employee development relating to leadership, teamwork and supervision.
