English Composition

Communications General Education Requirements

All students seeking an A.A. Degree must successfully complete 6 hours of required English Composition.
To satisfy the 6 hour Communications Requirement for an A.A. Degree, students must complete ENC 1101 with a grade of "C" or better, and they must select one of the following: ENC 1102, ENC 1141, MMC 1100 and successfully complete the course with a grade of "C" or better.
ENC1101 - College Composition 
ENC1102 - Argument and Persuasion
ENC1141 - Writing about Literature 
MMC1100 - Writing for Mass Communication


Elective Composition Courses

Students who successfully have completed mandatory composition courses can further their mastery of written communications in a variety of courses. The following composition courses may be taken for elective credit. They do not fulfill the General Education Communications Requirement.

CRW2001 - Creative Writing
CRW2002 - Creative Writing II
ENC2210 - Technical Communications
ENC2948 - Practicum in College Composition Mentoring
LIS2004 - Introduction to Internet Research
