Interview and Interrogation Techniques for Crash Investigators 

Students will leave this class with the necessary tools to conduct interviews and interrogations of participants and witnesses in traffic crash situations. In interviews the value of "human evidence" will be discovered. In interrogations the coordination of human evidences to the truth will be practiced. Methods to obtain the facts through lapses of memory will be practiced. Hands on exercises are included in this course.

​None. Students must be active sworn law enforcement officers whose duties include crash investigation, or civilian employees of Florida law enforcement agencies who are crash investigators or crash investigation support personnel. During training, the student is expected to attend the entire class. Absence for any reason must be approved by the instructor and make up work needs to be completed on the students own time. The maximum time that may be made up is 15%. If more than 15% is missed, the student will be withdrawn from training.

​All materials will be provided for this course.

 What are the Expenses?

​Tuition for this training is provided through a FDOT grant, there is no cost to you or your agency. Housing and meals are provided for courses offered  at the Florida Public Safety Institute for students that reside beyond 50 miles from the Institute.
