Standardized Field Sobriety Testing

This is the current 24 hour NHTSA/IACP Standardized Field Sobriety Testing curriculum. Students will learn methods and techniques to recognize and interpret evidence of DUI violations. Administer and interpret SFST's, and describe DUI evidence in written reports and verbal testimony. The students will participate in hands-on training during the administration of two wet labs with live subjects.

​To attend this training, the participant must be a Florida law enforcement officer or Assistant State Attorney.

 What Should I Bring?

​A flashlight will be needed for practical's. All other materials will be provided.

 What are the Expenses?

​Tuition for this training is provided through a Florida Department of Transportation Training Grant.  There is no cost to you, your agency or training region.  Lodging and meals are only provided for training scheduled at the Florida Public Safety Institute for students residing beyond 50 miles from the Institute.
