Managerial Accounting


This course includes an introduction to managerial accounting concepts and procedures with an emphasis on the use of accounting information for managerial planning, control, and decision- making.

Textbooks, calculators and solutions manuals are available in the Learning Commons.

Guided Practice Problems

Cost-Volume-Profit (CVP) Analysis This powerful tool helps managers understand the relationships among cost, volume and profit. CVP analysis focuses on how profits are affected by selling prices, sales volume, unit variable cost and total fixed cost. This example examines contribution margin, break even, target profit and margin of safety.​
The High-Low Method This method for analyzing a mixed cost relationship, i.e., one that contains fixed and variable costs is quite useful.​
