Group Classes

Group exercise classes are held Monday through Friday at the Lifetime Sports Complex. Bring your validated TCC ID card, comfortable clothing and athletic shoes.
 


The Lifetime Sports Complex offers the following group exercise classes: ​

 

 Power Hour

 
  • ​All fitness levels welcome
  • Intense full body workout utilizing light weights and high reps through body bars and dumb bells
  • Increase strength, improve cardiovascular conditioning and gain definition working muscular endurance
 

 Spin & Sculpt

 
  • ​Lively music and indoor stationary cycles provide thorough non-impact cardiovascular workout
  • 30-minute ride combined with 30-minute muscle toning session
  • Perfect combination of cardio and sculpting to tone quads, outer thighs, abs and arms
  • All fitness levels, from beginner to hard core cyclists can comfortably exercise together
  • Due to a limited number of cycles, 13 spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis
  • First time cyclers should come early in order to learn how to adjust the stationary cycle
 

 30 Minute Abs

 
  • ​30-minute class targets abdominal muscles in a variety of challenging exercises
  • Designed to burn fat and strengthen the abdominal region
 

 Zumba

 
  • ​Fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a dynamic workout system
  • Includes Merengue, Salsa, Reggaeton, Hip-Hop and other international dances
  • Open to all fitness levels
 

 Hip-Hop Aerobics

 
  • ​Effective and fun way to burn fat and calories while having a great time
  • New school breakdance to Old school B-Boy moves
  • Emphasis on fun and all fitness levels are invited
 

 Kickboxing Aerobics

 
  • ​Vigorous workout using training routines adapted by kickboxers
  • Encourages self-confidence, flexibility, coordination, speed and stamina
  • Participants learn to jab, punch, kick in self-defense, while improving speed and power

Special Notes: 

  1. Jump Ropes  may be added in any class for added intensity and variety.
  2. Advanced class instructors assume that participants have some understanding of the moves being taught. Workouts may be more and complex than an average class.
  3. Slides may be used in interval or sports conditioning classes for variety and fun.
  4. Beginners are always welcome. It is helpful if participants tell the instructor that they are new BEFORE beginning class.
  5. Some classes are limited in size due to space issues and equipment available.
  6. To reserve a bike for the cycle class, participants must be there 5 minutes before class time.
  7. Classes should never cause pain. Participants who experience pain should stop immediately and inform the instructor. Drink plenty of water and do not push beyond personal limitations. Participants who need to leave class early, should inform the instructor, so they will not be worried.
  8. Evaluation forms are available any time and constructive feedback is always welcome.
