Eagle Fitness Center - Recreation Gym - Aerobics Room - Lifetime Sports Lobby - Dance Studio

Equipment Checkout

Fitness and recreation equipment is available for checkout at the equipment control desk located in the fitness gym. A valid TCC ID card is required. All equipment, including jump ropes, flat bands, fitness tubes, and table tennis paddles and nets are free to checkout. 

Basketballs, volleyballs and indoor soccer balls may be available for checkout at the front desk located in the entry to the Eagle Fitness Center of Lifetime Sports. This equipment is available on a first come, first serve basis.

Guest Pass Policy

Guest passes are available from the Lifetime Sports Office, free of charge, to all TCC students, staff and faculty. 

  • Each TCC member is allowed a maximum of three (3) guest passes per semester.
  • Only one guest pass per valid TCC ID card may be given at a time.
  • All guests must bring a photo ID to receive a pass. 
  • The TCC patron must accompany the guest at all times and is held liable for all guest actions.
  • Guests must be at least 17 years of age.

Lifetimes Sports patrons must abide by all rules and guidelines in order to use the fitness facility and recreation gym. Violators are subject to removal and suspension from facility.


 General Conduct & Sportsmanship

  • ​Profanity or abusive/offensive language is strictly prohibited.
  • Portable stereos and electronic devices may be used with headphones only.
  • No animals are allowed in the fitness facility except service animals
  • Bouncing balls in the lobby or hallways is not permitted.
  • Disrupting or interfering with the workout of another member is not allowed.
  • All users must comply with the request of fitness center personnel regarding enforcement of Campus Recreation rules and regulations.
  • Repeated disruptive/abusive behaviors will result in membership being revoked for a minimum of one (1) academic term, and will be reported to the appropriate college official/office.
  • Severe disruptive behaviors (i.e., threats, harassment, sexual offenses, physical abuse, etc.) will result in an immediate restriction from the Lifetime Sports Complex for a minimum of one (1) academic term. The incident will also be reported to Campus Police, Student Conduct and Community Standards (for students), or Human Resources and immediate supervisor (for faculty/staff).

 Use Of Facilities/TCC ID

  • Users are required to check in at the front desk for each visit upon entering the Fitness Center, Aerobics Area or Recreation Gym. All members must present a valid TCC ID in order to use the facilities. Entry to the Campus Fitness Center will not be permitted without valid TCC ID.
  • Please use the fitness center and recreational gym at your own risk. If in doubt, please consult a Fitness Instructor before using any piece of exercise equipment. TCC is not responsible for any injury that may occur to individuals participating in any exercise activity.
  • Please report all injuries and any equipment failures to a Fitness Center staff member.
  • Users of the LSC facilities are required to provide their TCC ID to a staff member upon request. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action by the College and may result in suspension from the facility.

 Strength Training Equipment Rules

  • ​Please replace all bars, weights and dumbbells to their appropriate and assigned spaces immediately after use.
  • Do not drop free weights on the floor or allow weights to crash or “clank” together.
  • Dumbbells and plates are not to be left on benches or other padded surfaces.
  • Use of chalk is not permitted in the Fitness Center.
  • Due to the potential risk of injury, a spotter is recommended when training with free weights.
  • Olympic weightlifting is not permitted.
  • Please allow other users to "work in" or take turns. Do not monopolize equipment while others are waiting.
  • Please properly wipe down equipment when finished.
  • Do not lift more weight than is comfortable and safe. It is strongly recommended that users be properly oriented on all of the exercise equipment prior to beginning an exercise program.

 Report Safety/Equipment Issues

  • Please report all equipment malfunctions, personal injuries and specific questions, concerns or suggestions immediately to the Fitness Center staff.​

 Proper Work-Out Attire

  • Proper work attire must be worn at all times when using LSC facilities. Jeans and casual clothing are not permitted. Students should not be playing basketball or other sports in casual clothes or non-workout shoes. A workout shirt must be worn to cover the upper body at all times.
  • Athletic shoes shall be worn at all times (no open-toed shoes, sandals, backed-shoes, dress shoes or bare feet are permitted), except in the case of special aerobic classes.
  • Failure to dress properly will result in denial to workout.​



 Locker/Cubby Use


Lifetime Sports has free lockers available to all students, staff and faculty. Lockers are located in the men's and women's locker rooms inside the Recreation Gym. These lockers are available on a first come, first serve basis locks are not provided. Shower and dressing facilities are located in the locker rooms.​

  • ​Gym bags, back packs and other personal items are to be stored in lockers only.
  • TCC is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
  • Personal items should be removed from lockers out at the end of each semester.
  • All lockers will be cleaned out by staff at the end of each semester.
  • Inquiries regarding lost items should be made at the front desk.


  • Beverages are only permitted if contained in a capped bottle. All other foods are prohibited. 
  • Food, and beverages that are not in a capped bottle, must be consumed outside of the fitness center or recreational gym in the level lobby area.
  • Members are required to pick up after themselves and discard trash and remove personal items.​


  • ​The possession or use of any alcoholic beverage or illegal drug is strictly prohibited.
  • The use of any form of tobacco product is strictly prohibited.
  • The use of any form of drug that may cause drowsiness or inhibit one’s ability to operate equipment is prohibited.

 Lost and Found

  • ​TCC LSC Fitness Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Store and secure all personal items in a day locker located in men and women's locker room within the recreation gym.
  • Staff members are not permitted to hold valuables.
  • Items found should be turned in to the Front Desk. 
  • Inquires regarding lost items should be made at the Front Desk.

 Injuries & Emergencies


​Please immediately report any of the following safety issues to a Fitness Center Attendant or Campus Recreation Supervisor:

  • Damaged equipment or equipment malfunctions.
  • Unsafe exercise, locker room or bathroom conditions.
  • Abusive, dangerous, offensive or unsafe activities.
  • Injuries of any sort to any facility participant.

In the event of unsafe weather conditions, the facility supervisor will direct participants.




​The Fitness Attendant on duty is ultimately responsible for enforcing all rules, regulations, and procedures. If, at any time, a member fails to comply with the rules and/or the request of the attendant on duty, the member will be asked to leave for the remainder of the day. Failure to comply may result in fitness center and recreation gym privileges being revoked for a minimum of one (1) academic term. Fitness Center staff have the right to enlist the assistance of Campus Police whenever this situation arise.

Participants who violate any rule or regulation will be subject to the following procedure:

  1. Verbal Warning: A member will be informed by fitness center staff of the rules and regulations, and asked to comply. A report will be filed with Campus Recreation Supervisor.
  2. Written Warning: If any second violation occurs, a written warning will be issued by the Campus Recreation Supervisor.
  3. Probation: If any third violation occurs, the member will place on a probationary status for the fitness center and recreation gym by the Campus Recreation Supervisor.
  4. Restriction: If any other violation occurs, membership will be revoked for a minimum of one (1) academic term or equivalent. Paid members will not be issued a refund.
  5. Eagle Fitness Center management reserves the right to immediately revoke the membership, use or entrance into the Lifetime Sports Complex of any member who engages in any severe disruptive behavior (e.g. harassment, threats, sexual offenses, verbal and/or physical abuse, or repeated offenses). The matter will also be reported to Campus Police, the Student Conduct and Community Standards​(for students),or Human Resources and immediate supervisor (for faculty/staff).
  6. Members of the Lifetime Sports Complex should report any misconduct or negligence of staff to the Campus Recreation and Sports Facility Manager (850) 201-9081 or the Director of Campus and Civic Engagement at (850) 201-8420 or by email.
