Brain Bowl

The TCC Brain Bowl Team competes against other state colleges in academic quiz bowl contests.  The five students who make up the Brain Bowl Team are selected based on point totals after the completion of fall semester practices.  Players must maintain a 2.0 GPA and be currently enrolled students.  The team plays in the NAQT (National Academic Quiz Tournament) Sectional Tournament and the Panhandle Region Tournament during the Spring Semester.  Players answer questions using a buzzer system from the areas of Math, Science, History, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Literature.  The five players who make the team and compete in the tournaments are awarded TCC Brain Bowl Scholarships at the conclusion of the spring term. The TCC team is coached by History Professor David Proctor.
Brain Bowl meets every Thursday at 2:30PM to 3:30PM in HSS 221.
