Internet Websites

Using the internet is a great way to search websites and apply for positions. Below are a list of websites that may be useful in a search:

The Company

Going directly to a company to inquire about available positions can yield positive results. In most cases, there are job listings on the company's website and applications available for job seekers to complete onsite. Visiting the company can also give an applicant the edge over the competition. During the visit, an applicant may be able to speak directly to the hiring manager to discuss job opportunities.

LinkedIn can provide powerful opportunities to network and find jobs that are not posted publicly.  Create an account and use the LinkedIn Job Search Checklist.pdf or View a Sample Profile to assist you!

LinkedIn allows users to:

  • Customize a profile describing experiences and education, similar to a resume
  • Highlight unique strengths and abilities
  • Use advanced search options to identify TCC alumni and other contacts that can help land a job
