The TCCPD Communications Center is located on the second floor of building 9. The communication center is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Department currently employs 10 full-time and part-time communication operators. All operators receive training prior to working alone and continuously complete updated training. The communications center is responsible for a variety of emergency and non-emergency call taking. All operators have been trained to determine what type of response needs to be sent based on the caller.
