Public Safety

Public Safety Officers

These uniformed civilians perform a myriad of responsibilities for the department, including:

  • Patrolling campus parking lots
  • Monitoring building activities
  • Assisting with traffic control functions at special events

Public Safety Officers provide information and assistance to members and guests of the campus community and its guests. Public Safety Officers are routinely assigned to patrol parts of the college at times of peak activity, assisting faculty and staff with the enforcement of policies. These officers provide services to any faculty, staff or students in need, including a tram service to help disabled students with transportation to and from class. The Public Safety Officers are a vital part of the Tallahassee Community College Police Department.
