Notice Regarding Email Outage

The originally scheduled maintenance update for single sign-on is taking longer than estimated. The scheduled maintenance window has been extended until Sunday, July 24 at 6 p.m. Students, faculty and staff will have limited or no access to TCC email during this time.

​Commencement

Graduating college is a remarkable achievement and one worth celebrating with family and friends!  Join Tallahassee Community College (TCC) for the 2016 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, located at 505 West Pensacola Street in Tallahassee. 

Tickets are not required of graduates or their guests to attend the ceremony.

Students that graduated in Summer 2015, Fall 2015 and candidates anticipating completion of graduation requirements for Spring 2016 are eligible to participate in the ceremony. Participation in this ceremony does not constitute the completion of graduation requirements.

All students must complete an application for graduation through TCC Passport. If you wish to participate in the commencement ceremony, you must apply for graduation by January 31. Students planning to graduate should click here for the "Steps to Apply for Graduation".


Mandatory Graduation Orientation

The Commencement Ceremony is a distinguished tradition at TCC. Decorum and courtesy are very  important. Therefore, all students are required to attend a mandatory graduation orientation. In  the orientation session you will:  

  • Be guided through the ceremony protocol 
  • Learn what you can expect and what is expected of you as a participant (ceremony etiquette)
  • Receive information on appropriate attire for the ceremony
  • Have an opportunity to ask questions

Detailed information about the mandatory graduation orientation dates and times will be sent to graduating students in February. Please remember to check your TCC email.

Caps and Gowns

Graduates are required to wear full academic regalia (i.e. cap, gown, and tassel). Graduation regalia is available for purchase beginning in March at the TCC Bookstore. Information about ordering graduation regalia will be sent to graduating students in February. Please remember to check your TCC email.


Diplomas

All graduating students receive one official diploma at no additional cost. Students participating in the graduation ceremony receive a padded diploma cover with a message from the College. Diplomas will be mailed to students approximately eight to ten weeks after the degree is awarded and reflected on the student's transcript.  

​If you graduate in: ​Your diploma will be mailed on or before:
​Fall Term (December) March 1
​Spring Term (May) ​July 1
​Summer Term (August) ​October 1
