This free online workshop helps distance learning students succeed right from the start.
CDL-STU008: Introduction to Distance Learning
This workshop helps students learn skills such as how to access course materials, communicate with classmates and instructors, submit homework, take tests, and much more. Some of the college policies and procedures also will be reviewed.
Web-based courses are delivered via the Internet. Lecture material, assignments, and other course materials are available online.
Students enrolling in online courses will be required to pay an additional fee of $10 per credit hour. Tests may be scheduled on campus or at an approved proctored site. Additional fees may apply for tests taken at proctored sites. Fees will vary by site.
In hybrid courses, some instruction is online and some instruction occurs in the traditional classroom.
SPI courses are offered in an independent study format. Students are not required to attend on-campus classes and have 20 weeks to complete all coursework.
