Mental Health Services

Students may experience difficulty managing the demands of coursework with the challenges that arise in their personal lives. To assist students with achieving their academic goals, mental health counseling services are offered to currently enrolled students at Tallahassee Community College. Services are free, confidential are provided by a licensed psychologist.


Services include crisis intervention, assessment, brief therapy and referral information.


Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and  Tuesday & Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

You may make an appointment with the psychologist 
  • By telephone at (850) 201-7726 or
  • By speaking with the receptionist in the Student Affairs office SU 203
When you arrive for an appointment, check in with the receptionist in SU 203. If you are unable to keep an appointment, call 201-7726 to cancel or reschedule as soon as possible and preferably at least 24 hours in advance. If the psychologist cannot keep an appointment with you, the receptionist will attempt to contact you.

After-Hours Mental Health Needs

For after-hours emergencies, call 911 for a medical or mental health emergency, or go to the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Emergency Room located at the corner of Magnolia Drive and Miccosukee Road.
For free, confidential telephone counseling, crisis intervention and community referrals, call 2-1-1 or (850) 617-6333. 

For faculty and staff seeking help with individual or family personal problems, contact the Employee Assistance Program at (850) 644-2288 or TCC Human Resources at 201-8510.
