Strategic Communication (Public Relations)
The Strategic Communication (Public Relations) major is an integrated degree program that prepares students for careers in business, communications, government and non-profit organizations. The successful candidate achieves broad knowledge of, and skill sets in, writing, oral communication, public relations, marketing and sales. The program includes a marketing minor which will prepare the graduate for entry level positions in sales and marketing. The internship program will deepen the candidate’s experience in one or more core areas. Students completing this program will earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic Communication. Day students may complete the program in four semesters, and evening students will require five semesters for program completion.
AA Degree or 60 transferable credits which include:
6 Credit hours English
3 Credit hours Natural Science
6 Credit hours Social Science
6 Credit hours Humanities
3 Credit hours Speech Communication (satisfied by AA degree)
3 Credit hours Computer Literacy
6 Credit hours of Mathematics
Business Calculus/Calculus I
Liberal Arts 1
Liberal Arts 2
Any 6 credit hours of mathematics that are earned toward an AA degree will be accepted.
