 Title III

The purpose of TCC’s Title III activity, A Framework for Success: Increasing Achievement through Multi-Year Career Pathways, is to create an integrated approach to increasing student retention and graduation rates.

This will be accomplished through a two-part strategy:

1) Existing student support services (orientation, assessment, & advising) will be modified to include a focus on the selection of an appropriate career pathway when students enter TCC; and

2) Critical gateway courses will be redesigned to place emphasis on active, experiential learning experiences contextualized to each pathway.

This strategy will place students on a clearly chosen career pathway from the outset, nurture the connections between their career interests and their coursework, and sustain a career focus through completion of their degree.

For more information related to redesigning courses with a career focus, contact the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Leadership at (850) 201-6208 or
