Transfer Students

Students who are transferring from another institution such as a Florida private or public community college, a state or private university, or an out-of state college or university are considered transfer students. If you are a transfer student, follow these steps to become fully-admitted TCC student.

Steps to Apply

 Step 1

Apply for Financial Aid and Scholarships

If you are eligible for federal financial aid, this money will help you pay for your college expenses. You must apply as soon as possible as there are limited federal funds available for all students. You do not need to wait to be admitted to submit your financial aid application, Federal Application for Federal Student Aid, also known as the FAFSA. If you have any questions regarding your financial aid application, please contact the Financial Aid office at (850) 201-8399

 Step 2

Apply for Admission

Complete the TCC Online Admission Application. Complete all parts of the application. If you have any questions regarding your application, contact the Admissions and Enrollment Services office at (850) 201-8555 or e-mail admissions@tcc.fl.edu.

 Step 3

Send Transcripts to TCC

Request to have your official high school transcripts and official transcripts from all colleges/universities you've attended to:

 Step 4

Complete Placement Testing

This test is not for admission but for class placement purposes. If you have taken the ACT or SAT and your scores are no more than two years-old, please request official scores from ACT or SAT to be sent to TCC.  You will be required to take the FPERT (Florida Post Secondary Education Readiness Test) if you have not taken these tests. You can contact the Testing Center at (850) 201-8282 or visit the Testing Center Web Site if you have any questions about the FPERT.

 Step 5

Next Steps

Complete New Student Orientation

All new TCC students complete an on-campus New Student Orientation before registering for classes. The orientation program familiarizes students with TCC policies, campus procedures and a number of important student resources. The information provided through the orientation program enables students to make smart decisions when scheduling classes and provides strong guidance as students work toward future academic and career goals.  Contact Admissions and Enrollment Services at (850) 201-8555 for additional information.
