Become a Mentor

It Takes A Mentor - Mentor A Student

Our Take Stock in Children students need caring individuals to become their mentors. Mentoring for at least 30 minute s a week at a student's school can lead to greatly enhancing a student's development and change the trajectory of her life.

How to Become a Mentor

Complete and submit the Mentor Application.

Receive a new mentor training - After your application has been reviewed, you will be contacted by our staff to schedule a mentor training and complete the paperwork for a Level II background screening.

Receive a Level II Clearance - Level II Clearance through Leon County Schools usually takes one to two weeks to process. We will do our best to match you with an available Take Stock student at your preferred school. Your College Success Coach will contact you to schedule your first in-person meeting with your mentee.
