About United Way of the Big Bend
United Way of the Big Bend's main purpose is to collect funds to help support charitable and character building agencies in the Big Bend region. The organization, first established in 1943, upholds the values of leadership, accountabilty, integrity, collaboration, focus and respect to help make a lasting impact in the community.
What They Do
UWBB brings together donors, volunteers, businesses, nonprofits, faith-based, community leaders, government, experts, and those in need to address challenges in our community. Together we work toward bold community Goals for 2021.
UWBB breaks each problem down to its root cause, and with our stakeholders, develop research-based, comprehensive strategies to make significant and sustainable progress.
Once the strategies are set, it’s time for action. UWBB invests in or create initiatives designed to shrink the ALICE population and those living in poverty.
UWBB creates metrics and continuously evaluate the results of our investments, holding every program partner and initiative accountable to keep a significant impact.
Gear Up in support of the TCC Campaign for the United Way
During the next several weeks, you have the opportunity to support those in need in the community by purchasing a t-shirt, mask or both during our College’s United Way campaign.
The College will be selling SOAR UNITED gear until December 17. Your purchase will support the needs in our community, show your school spirit and will make sure you are geared up properly for casual Friday. SOAR UNITED t-shirts are only $20, while the SOAR UNITED masks are selling for $10 each. You can purchase a t-shirt and mask combo package, which also includes a free holographic sticker, for only $25.
All proceeds collected will support the United Way of the Big Bend.
The Communications & Marketing Department is handling the SOAR UNITED gear orders, while the Human Resources Department will be handling the payments.
To order a t-shirt, mask or a discounted package of both, contact Communications & Marketing at firstname.lastname@example.org or (850) 201-6436.
Your cash payment or check can be dropped off at the Human Resources Department on the first floor of the Hinson Administration Building on TCC’s main campus on Appleyard Road. Checks, which should be made payable to the United Way of the Big Bend (UWBB), can be dropped off at the HR offices or mailed to:
