The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International has estimated that the pilotless aircraft industry is expected to create more than 23,000 U.S. jobs over the next 15 years. In response to this growing industry, WEI has created an Unmanned Technology Applications program to educate students on the various aspects of the field. Introduction to Unmanned Systems (Drones)

Registration will be Open January 1st!

Next class: January 30 – March 12, 2019

In this 6-week class, students will learn how to fly drones for commercial business use. Students who complete this class will have the basic knowledge on how to fly a drone. Expect completion of mock roof/solar panel inspections, at least 15 hours of flight time, access to practice on our drones outside of class time, and much more.

Meets at WEI’s Crawfordville campus on Thursdays from 6-9 p.m.

Unmanned Ground Flight School (FAA 107 Course)

Registration will be Open January 1st!

Next class: January 29 – March 11, 2019

In this 7-week class, students will learn the Federal Aviation Administration Guidelines necessary to obtain your license to fly a drone. Students who complete this class will have the basic knowledge on the FAA Guidelines and be able to take the required test.

Intro to Editing (Using Unmanned Aerial Systems)

Next class: Febraury 25th – April 7, 2019

In this 6-week class, students will learn basic techniques for editing video using software provided. Registered students will get access to Adobe Premiere Elements. Students who complete this class will have knowledge on how to setup shot selection, color correction, and other important skills to edit and create videos for commercial business use.

Meets at WEI’s Crawfordville campus on Tuesdays from 6-9 p.m.

WEI Seminar Series: How To Build A Drone
