Governor DeSantis Signs TCC Name Change Into Law

Today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 522 into law, renaming Tallahassee Community College as Tallahassee State College. The governor signed the bill at an event at the Capitol, joined by Senator Corey Simon, Tallahassee Community College (TCC) President Jim Murdaugh, TCC Trustees Eugene Lamb, Jr., Frank Messersmith, Karen B. Tallahassee Community College Receives Collegiate Purple Star Campus Designation

Tallahassee Community College has been designated a Collegiate Purple Star Campus in recognition of its commitment to supporting military students and their families as they transition to a college environment. This designation was established by the Florida Legislature and signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis in June 2023.
