Accolade: TCC receives national award for commitment to diversity

Most promising places to work logoTALLAHASSEE, Fla. (May 23, 2017) – TCC was named one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development and Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine.

This research-based designation recognizes the College for its commitment to professional development opportunities, equality, workplace diversity, inclusion, salary and benefits, and family friendliness. NISOD and Diverse magazine partnered with the Center for Higher Education Enterprise at Ohio State University to implement the study.

Only 11 community colleges nationwide received this award, which celebrates community college workplaces that are vibrant, diverse, supportive, and committed to staff work-life balance, professional development and inclusive excellence.

TCC was listed along with the other recognized institutions in the May 18, 2017, edition of Diverse.

TCC was also named a Most Promising Place to Work in Community Colleges by NISOD and Diverse in 2015. The College is one of only seven community colleges nationwide to be recognized multiple times on the annual list.
