Future Accountants Count on TCC

October 17, 2019

Accounting has always been in Zackary Dowler’s life, so it was only natural that he enrolled in TCC’s Accounting program.

“Before I even started high school, I had a pretty good understanding of business and accounting in general,” Dowler said. “Ever since my father opened up his first business, accounting’s always been in my life and I grew up around it in my whole family.”

Dowler recommends TCC because of the College’s “wonderful resources.”

“If you ever need help, there’s always someone here for you,” Dowler said. “Not only are there external resources, you’re allowed to ask any questions that you have in class, and any professor will go over it with you.”

Dowler recalls that the accounting program has helped him grow as a person and recommends it to anyone who likes numbers as much as he does.

“[The program] has given me these complex problems that are almost like puzzles that you have to figure out,” Dowler said. “I use the same thing in life, where I have this complex problem and I’ll just piece it together and slowly, eventually, I’ll get the whole picture.”

In the future, he would like to start his career at a corporation or bank, as those are promising beginner jobs for accountants.
