Tallahassee Community College announced today that any student who attended TCC during the pandemic, from March 2020 to present, may be eligible for debt payment by the College. Funds are being made available through a grant from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) that is a part of Federal coronavirus relief.

Students will receive a personalized email outlining the exact amount that they owe with a custom link to approve the use of HEERF funds for any outstanding tuition and fees owed to TCC. This is a one-time opportunity for students.

“Tallahassee Community College wants to ensure that our students are successful while they are here and debt-free when they graduate,” said Barbara Wills, Vice President for Administrative Services at TCC. “We know the pandemic has made it difficult for so many and are pleased to offer this assistance.”

TCC also announced that all current students will automatically receive a $5 daily food credit to be used at food vendors located in the Student Union. Students will simply show their student ID when making a purchase to receive the credit.

Additional pandemic relief funds are available to support current and future students with the cost of attendance or for emergency costs related to COVID-19 such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, child care, and more. Information can be found at tcc.fl.edu/HEERF.
