Theatre TCC! Presents Something Rotten!

April 5, 2022

Tallahassee Community College hosts opening night for Theatre TCC!’s production of Something Rotten!, a hilarious musical comedy, April 7 at 8 p.m. in Turner Auditorium.

The book written by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, features Nick and Nigel Bottom, two playwrights striving for a resilient acting company, but overshadowed by a Renaissance rock star, Will Shakespeare. After a prophet predicts that the world of theatre will be full of triple-threats who simultaneously sing, act, and dance, the Bottom brothers decide to write the world’s first musical ever. Something Rotten! is a victory lap for all that is critically acclaimed, award-winning, and adored about Broadway!

Through the hard work of the TCC Foundation and generous donors, Theatre TCC! is able to provide thirty students with scholarships that allow them to explore their artistic desires. With this production, Theatre TCC! continues its tradition of supporting student’s artistic dreams and keeping artistic quality high!

Performances will take place April 7-9 and April 15-16 at 8 p.m. with a special matinee show April 17 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $7 for non-TCC students. TCC students, faculty and staff receive free admission. Tickets can be reserved online here.
