Tallahassee Community College has announced the selection of Samantha DeZerga as the next director of the William D. Law, Jr. Learning Commons. Samantha served as the interim director for the Learning Commons for the last several months, providing guidance and vision as the College transitioned back to on-campus learning in the Fall semester.
Samantha joined TCC in 2019 as a success coach in the Learning Commons. In this position, she would plan and implement new programs for the College centered around student achievement, support, and retention. Simultaneously, she managed a team of 15 academic success coaches. Sam is a two-time graduate of Florida State University with a bachelors’ degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies.
The Learning Commons provides free tutoring, resources, academic success coaching, and computer access to students. The dedicated team of learning specialists, tutors, and academic success coaches assist students with their coursework in-person and online.
