TCC Foundation announces $200,000 gift earmarked for Workforce Development efforts

The Tallahassee Community College Foundation announced a $200,000 gift to benefit its workforce development programs. The donor has chosen to remain anonymous. The announcement was made at the Tallahassee Community College District Board of Directors Meeting on Monday, Nov. 16, 2021. The gift will be used to fund ten welding booths in the new Welding Lab opening in January and Wakulla Workforce Scholarships, 35 full-tuition scholarships in the trades for residents of Wakulla County. TCC Vice President of Workforce Innovation honored with Exemplary Leadership Award

Tallahassee Community College is pleased to announce that Kimberly Moore, Vice President for Workforce Innovation and TCC2WORK, will receive The Chair Academy’s 2021 Exemplary Leadership Award. The award recognizes achievements that advance academic and administrative leadership in higher education organizations. TCC Model United Nations team returns from Washington, DC

Tallahassee Community College Model United Nations (TCC MUN) traveled to Washington, DC, for National Model United Nations – DC, held from November 5 through 7, where they joined more than 850 delegates from 81 American Colleges and Universities, each representing a different country in discussing and finding solutions to important international issues. Chuck Moore named Director of Athletics at Tallahassee Community College

Tallahassee Community College has named Chuck Moore its new Director of Athletics. A native of Hampton, Virginia, Moore earned a degree in Business Administration from Christopher Newport University and a Masters in Sports Management from American Public University. Moore began his collegiate basketball coaching career at Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, Va., where he posted a record of 48-16. The week begins with two book talks and signings with Greg Dawson, author of Hiding in the Spotlight, on Monday, November 8.
