TCC honors Graduates in Virtual Celebration

TCC student newspaper launches project to document students’ pandemic experiences

The Talon, Tallahassee Community College’s student newspaper, is publishing first-hand stories written and narrated by students about their challenges during the global coronavirus pandemic. The goal of the project, #TCCInQuarantine, is to highlight the struggles of TCC students, who are finishing the last six weeks of the semester in online classes. TCC Produces 3D Printable Face Masks for First Responders

Tallahassee Community College is producing 3D Printable Face Masks for first responders. The College’s Computer Technology Department (CT) created 25 filtration face masks for the TCC Police Department (TCC PD). The CT manager Mike Vickers said he saw the call to action nationwide for surgical face masks and other medical equipment to fight the COVID-19 crisis and wanted to help. Read More

TCC keeps Students Engaged during Online Learning using Virtual Activities

TCC launches SOS Relief Fund during COVID-19 Crisis

Tallahassee Community College is launching its #EagleRelief: Support Our Students campaign that runs March 30 – April 3. The goal is to raise $45,000 to support some of TCC’s most vulnerable students who are being challenged to afford housing, transportation and basic needs as a result of necessary COVID-19 protections. The SOS relief fund addresses three areas which are basic student needs, new technology for distance learning and general support for financial aid students. Read More
