Later becoming a double amputee, it didn’t stop him from continuing his passion of sports and mentoring, something he’s done for the past 25 years. TCC Alumnus earns Prestigious Scholarship

Tallahassee Community College Alumnus, David “Gil” Damon is the recipient of the Gates Cambridge Scholarship which is a very prestigious international postgraduate scholarship. Damon graduated from TCC in 2015 with an Associate of Arts degree in Psychology. He later went on to receive his bachelor’s degree at Florida State University. Damon is from Wakulla County and attributes his interest in science and government from experiencing hurricanes and witnessing the federal and local response. Read More
