TCC Announces Gift from Kim and Todd Engstrom

TCC receives Thousands in Donor Gifts

November 18, 2019

Tallahassee Community College received three new donations at the College’s November 18 District Board of Trustees meeting held at the Center for Innovation. Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation donated $20,000 toward scholarships for TCC’s Fire Academy students and the Harrell and Winsor families donated $25,000 respectively to the First Class Project Campaign. TCC hosts Inaugural STEM Summit and announces Federal Grant

Tallahassee Community College was awarded a $1 million S-STEM grant for scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics programs by the National Science Foundation (NSF). This is the only grant of its size awarded in 2019 to a state college in Florida, specifically for student scholarships. The College made the announcement at their inaugural STEM Summit. Read More

Radiologic Technology at TCC Creates Job Security

Melanie Rhodes used to be a stay-at-home mom, but once her young children started school she knew she wanted to begin a career outside of the home. That’s when the Australian native learned about Tallahassee Community College’s Radiologic Technology program. She always had a desire to help people and the health field seemed like the perfect area for her to do so. Rhodes said she was also attracted to the Radiologic Technology program because it is a high-demand career. Read More
