Tallahassee native, Chelsea Countess said it took some time to actually find her niche in the medical field. She started taking classes in physical therapy but quickly realized it wasn’t for her. That’s when her father told her about Tallahassee Community College’s Surgical Technology program and she’s been hooked ever since. “If you would have asked my parents, I never would’ve ended up in the medical field,” Countess said. “Growing up I was so scared of needles, shots and getting blood drawn.” Read More
