TCC Unveils State-of-the-Art Welding Lab

Tallahassee Community College has unveiled a new, state-of-the-art Welding Technologies Laboratory (WTL) to the public at the Kim B. Williams Advanced Manufacturing Training Center (AMTC) on the main campus of TCC. The expanded lab, which mirrors an actual welding work environment, provides a realistic workplace for students. TCC Workforce Development receives Pathways to Career Opportunities Grant

Tallahassee Community College’s Division of Workforce Development has been awarded $169,901 through the Pathways to Career Opportunities Grant from the Florida Department of Education (FDOE). The grant funds were made available to establish new or expand existing registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs. TCC Foundation announces $200,000 gift earmarked for Workforce Development efforts

The Tallahassee Community College Foundation announced a $200,000 gift to benefit its workforce development programs. The donor has chosen to remain anonymous. The announcement was made at the Tallahassee Community College District Board of Directors Meeting on Monday, Nov. 16, 2021. The gift will be used to fund ten welding booths in the new Welding Lab opening in January and Wakulla Workforce Scholarships, 35 full-tuition scholarships in the trades for residents of Wakulla County. The award recognizes achievements that advance academic and administrative leadership in higher education organizations.
