Meet the Team

Even though we can't come directly to you right now, the CPE team is here for you! Please reach out to us if you need assistance with locating resources or if you would like to suggest, attend, or lead a future workshop. We aim to meet your needs and be a resource for all employees at TCC.

Summer Dusek, Director of CPE

Summer started with TCC in 2016. She directs CPE’s efforts and also teaches psychology and student success courses at the College as an adjunct professor. Summer has over ten years of higher education experience in both administrative and faculty capacities, including serving as Chair of Behavioral and Social Sciences at another institution. In addition, she has over eight years of practice and administration experience, primarily in a Mental Health, Addictive Diseases, and Developmental Disabilities hospital. Aside from her professional experience, she enjoys time with her fur babies, family, and anything outdoors. Building and fostering healthy relationships amongst others is a primary focus for Summer, as she believes in the value of collaboration for personal and institutional growth. Summer is completing a doctoral degree in public administration at Valdosta State University, and holds a master’s degree in clinical and counseling psychology and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from VSU.

Justin Adams, Communications Specialist

Justin joined the Center for Professional Enrichment team in 2018 after working at TCC for four years as a writer and traditional media relations specialist in the Office of Communications and Marketing, and for three years as an adjunct professor in the Division of Communications and Humanities. He also served as an assistant coach of the nationally-recognized TCC Forensics Team for five years. Justin creates and edits a variety of deliverables promoting CPE’s mission, and manages internal communications, social media and web content. Originally from Illinois, Justin holds a master's degree in integrated marketing and management communication from Florida State University, and a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication from Arizona State University.

Auxiliary Remote Staff

We have temporarily added members to our team in CPE, so do not be alarmed if you see them busy working in the background during future meetings. Each has a very important role in our offices, so it's only appropriate that we share this with you.

Zoey, Head of Security

As part Blue Heeler, part Beagle, Zoey announces visitors but also notifies if anyone is out of line and keeps the order. She's all bark, no bite!

Tybee, Wellness Manager

Spending her day cruising counters, stealing snacks, and begging for food, Tybee is certain to speak up when it is time for a meal or a snack. Her main concern is the health and nutrition of the team.

Gus, Staff Support

Needing constant attention and hugs, Gus provides emotional support for the team during stressful days. He hasn't learned about personal space.

Sandstorm, Purrsonal Assistant

Graciously taking a sa-cat-ical from his duties at the top of the animal kingdom, Sandstorm has deemed our team worthy of his talents. He's in charge of head boops and perching artfully on a variety of surfaces.
