French Emperor Napoleon BonaparteThe TCC History and Anthropology Department offers an array of Associate of Arts level survey courses that are widely accepted at four-year colleges and universities. These courses satisfy State of Florida and TCC General Education Social Science core and elective requirements and also prepare students for upper division majors in History and Anthropology. TCC History courses: AMH 2010 American History I, AMH 2020 American History II, AMH 2091 African American History, WOH2012 World History I, WOH2022 World History II, EUH 1000 Western Civilization I, and EUH 1001 Western Civilization II. AMH 2020 satisfies Area 9 State Social Science Core Group 2: Civic Literacy and prepares students for the Florida Civic Literacy Exam. The other History courses satisfy Area 10 TCC Social Science Core Group 1 and can also be used to meet TCC Associate of Arts elective credit requirements. TCC Anthropology courses: ANT 2000 General Anthropology, AMH 2140 Introduction to Archeology, ANT 2410 Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, and ANT 2511 Physical Anthropology. ANT 2000 satisfies Area 9 State Social Science Core Group 1. The other Anthropology courses satisfy Area 10 TCC Social Science Core Group 1 and can also be used to meet TCC Associate of Arts elective credit requirements.
