The Federal Work-Study program allows students to earn money to pay for college expenses while gaining valuable employment experiences. The program provides part-time job opportunities on or off-campus and is need-based. If you have not been awarded Federal Work-Study and would like to participate, then you can request an award by contacting the Financial Aid Office.

Students can work up to 25 hours per week based on their Federal Work-Study allocation. Students are paid at an hourly rate and paid once a month according to TCC’s payroll schedule. Students may not work during scheduled class time.

 

Steps to Apply for Federal Work-Study

1. Apply for the program by indicating interest on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or by contacting the Financial Aid Office for a Federal Work-Study award.

2. Attend TCC’s Federal Work-Study Orientation. Once you complete the step above and accept the Work-Study award, the  Financial Aid Office will contact you with orientation information.
