The Office of Student Accessibility Services (SAS) is continuing to support students with disabilities in succeeding in their classes. Advisors are available for individual, virtual appointments via Zoom, by phone or by email. To get connected with our advisors, students can call 850-201-8430 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an appointment. Phone calls and emails will be answered over Winter Break to help students register and set appointment for January 2021. All appointments and full services will begin again January 4, 2021.
If you are a new student and have questions about accommodations for the Spring semester visit the Student Accessibility webpage for a wealth of information, application for services and description of the required documentation needed to request accommodations.
You can also ask questions by visiting the private group, Student Accessibility Services Group in MyTCC. If you are enrolled, you are already a member of this private group.
Both main campus Testing Centers are open at this time with limited seating through the Spring semester. On campus testing will be provided, by appointment, and is available throughout the Spring semester. We will still have both virtual placement testing and virtual accommodated testing sessions available to students.
At this time, only those students in need of a reader/writer or paper/pencil accommodation may make an appointment to receive either an on campus or virtual proctor session via Zoom Conferencing. Scheduling of exams for accommodated services will begin on January 7 with the Accommodated Testing Center. Please visit the Testing Center page for further communication. Please contact your instructors about proctored testing requirements for your courses and request your accommodation with them via email for online examinations.
ACCUPLACER, CLEP, HESI, PERT and TABE testing has begun on the main campus, and sessions are offered by appointment only. The Victim Advocate continues to provide Confidential services to any student who has been the victim of crime, on or off campus, even if the victimization happened prior to arriving at TCC. Services are also available to family and friends of students, faculty and staff and those victimized by a TCC student/faculty/staff, on or off campus. The Victim Advocate Program may receive referrals from Law enforcement, TCC Faculty/Staff, and other community partners.
