AE Graduation

Adult Education's annual commencement ceremony for students that pass all sections of the GED test and/or complete the Advanced level of the ESOL course.

Currently this year's graduation ceremoy is scheduled forJune 13th 2020 at 6:00pm. However, due to concerns related to COVID-19 the event is subject to change. Please contact the Adult Education staff at (850) 201-8760 for the latest information regarding the ceremony.

Graduates must attend rehearsal. If you are unable to attend, please let our staff know.

Caps & Gowns

Caps and gowns can be purchased at the TCC Bookstore. Caps and gowns may also be borrowed from TCC Adult Education. Borrowed caps and gowns must be returned after the commencement ceremony. 

Graduates should contact the Adult Education office for the gown fitting appointment.


If graduates wish to have their photo taken, a photographer will be taking photographs at rehearsal.


Graduates are encouraged to bring family, friends, coworkers, and supervisors to the commencement ceremony. Tickets for guests are not needed, but graduates should indicate the number of expected guests on their Ceremony RSVP. Please contact the Adult Education Office if any of your guests need ADA accommodations. 


Graduates will receive a diploma from TCC that acknowledges the graduate's completion of the Adult Education program. The official high school credential must be requested from GED® Testing Services.


TCC awards the Dream Big Scholarship of $1,000 to one GED® graduate each year at the Adult Education Commencement Ceremony. Contact Mrs. Hardaway for an application.
