The mission of TCC’s GED Preparation program is to provide educational opportunities for adults 16 years or older who have not completed high school or who would like assistance with improving their English language skills.

Our convenient daytime, online, and evening classes prepare students to pass the GED® tests or learn English and enter into the workforce or other educational programs depending on the student’s career goal.

How to Schedule Your Test

TABE

Students entering the GED Preparation program must take the TABE test, or, present their official TABE test scores (taken within the last 12 months) to TCC Adult Education staff.

The TABE test is available by appointment only at TCC's Main Campus Testing Center, the TCC Gadsden Center, as well as the TCC Wakulla Center. To schedule your TABE test please call the appropriate Center to make an appointment.

CASAS

Students entering the ESOL (English Learner) class will need to take the CASAS exam.

Fee: $0 There is no fee for the CASAS exam.

To schedule your CASAS exam: Please contact the Division of Workforce Development (WD) at (850) 201-8760 for the next available test date. Exams are usually available at the Main Campus on the second (2nd) floor of the WD building and the Gadsden Center.  

GED

The Testing Center located on TCC's main campus is an approved GED® testing site.

How to schedule your test: 

1. Go to www.ged.com.

2. Log into (or create) your account.  

3. Read the prompts to schedule your test and choose your test site.

4. Make your payment to confirm your test date and time (done through your GED.com account)

5. Show up on test day at least 30 minutes early with your photo ID.

 

*For questions regarding your GED test or reschedule your test, please contact the GED Testing Service at 1-877-392-6433.

**If you require GED testing accommodations, they must be requested at least 30 days in advance. You will need to submit your documentation to the GED® Testing Services Accommodations department. Once your request for accommodations has been approved, call 1-800-466-0450 to schedule your GED® test with accommodations.
