Fifth Annual Symposium
The Undergraduate Research Program invites TCC students to showcase their original research and creative activities to the TCC community at our annual Symposium on Undergraduate Research. At the symposium, an interdisciplinary team of judges will select the best representation of well-developed research to go on to be presented at the National Council for Undergraduate Research Conference. Additionally, prize money will be awarded to the most outstanding work in all categories.
*Membership and participation in approved TCC student clubs, organizations, and academic teams is open to all currently enrolled students who have paid the Student Activity and Service Fee for the current semester in which the student is a member or requests to become a member of the student organization.

Acknowledgments
The 2024 Symposium on Undergraduate Research is the capstone event for the inaugural year of Tallahassee Community College's Undergraduate Research Initiative, organized at the start of the Fall 2018 semester. We hope this year's symposium will be the first of many showcasing the multitude of research activities in which TCC students participate throughout each academic year.
This symposium and all other activities of the Undergraduate Research Initiative are coordinated by TCC's Undergraduate Research Council, an interdisciplinary group of faculty and staff who volunteered their time and efforts toward making this year's symposium a success. A tremendous debt of gratitude is owed to them.

This year's Undergraduate Research Symposium would not have been possible without the very generous support of the TCC Foundation. A College Innovation Fund grant provided much of the financial support for this year's symposium, including refreshments, production of publicity materials, the printing of high-quality full-color posters, and the cost of printing this booklet. We are so grateful to all of the TCC Foundation's generous donors for their support of this worthy cause.
