TCC hosts inaugural Heroes in Public Safety Virtual Conference

Heroes in Public Safety graphicTallahassee Community College is launching its inaugural Heroes in Public Safety (HIPS) Virtual Conference for first responders starting tomorrow, Dec. 1 – 3 from 1 – 4:45 p.m. Over the course of three days, the virtual conference will have sessions, case studies, and in-depth workshops dedicated to how first responders can better work together to ensure the safety of our community.

The HIPS Virtual Conference is designed to showcase what the public safety community is doing, highlight best practices and discuss the COVID-19 pandemic.

The virtual conference’s theme is “In Pursuit of a More Perfect First Responder System: A Virtual Conference for those working in the Public Safety Field.”

Each day has a featured topic and guest speakers:

  • December 1:  Prevention
  • December 2:  Intervention
  • December 3:  Response

The event is open to the public.

The virtual conference was created from the TCC’s Heroes in Public Safety Recognition Program to honor TCC alumni in the Public Safety Field, and individuals making an impact in our local community.
