Today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 522 into law, renaming Tallahassee Community College as Tallahassee State College. The governor signed the bill at an event at the Capitol, joined by Senator Corey Simon, Tallahassee Community College (TCC) President Jim Murdaugh, TCC Trustees Eugene Lamb, Jr., Frank Messersmith, Karen B. Hosted by Student Accessibility Services, this event will bring awareness to disabilities and overcoming life obstacles as Dr. Cousins shares "HisStory" with our students and community. The Tallahassee Community College Forensics Team won first place at the 2024 Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) State Forensics Championship. This is the team’s 10th consecutive state title. Read More

Tallahassee Community College has been designated a Collegiate Purple Star Campus in recognition of its commitment to supporting military students and their families as they transition to a college environment. This designation was established by the Florida Legislature and signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis in June 2023. TCC is proud to be one of the first three higher education institutions in Florida to receive this designation. Read More
