Learning Commons
Welcome to the William D. Law Jr. Learning Commons! We hope you will visit often and enjoy using one of the most valuable resources on the TCC campus.
The TCC Learning Commons is a comprehensive, integrated learning center that provides learning assistance and resources to all TCC students in the areas of math and science (accounting, economics and computer programming) and communications (English grammar/mechanics, reading and writing).
Learning specialists, student success specialists, tutors and faculty collaborate to assist students in identifying and using resources.
The Learning Commons also houses counselors from the Student Success Center who provide advising, study skills seminars and counseling support.
The Learning Commons offers a broad range of services including:
- Diagnostic assessment
- Learning materials and electronic resources
- writing conferences
- one-on-one and small group tutoring
- whole class support
- study rooms
- workshops and seminars
- success strategies
- technology and multi-media support
- English pronunciation software
- study models for various science classes
- open access to computers
