Math and Science
This area of the Learning Commons is dedicated to helping students with mathematical concepts, science concepts, and business applications such as accounting and economics. We also have great technology resources available to students needing to work on course requirements, to prepare multimedia presentations, or to check email, and there are knowledgeable people available to help you learn how to use the technology.
This floor has areas for students to study individually or in small groups, or to attend workshops. Content assistance is available for:
- math classes taught by TCC
- science classes,
- health care classes
- accounting classes by TCC and Flagler
- economics classes
- computer language courses
Our schedule of when face-to-face help is available.
Learning assistants are available to help with concepts covered in class. Bring your notes from class and your questions. Many times other students in your class will also be at the Learning Commons, and we encourage you to collaborate with them. We will also meet with you if you are trying to figure out why you are having such a hard time in your course, if you need guidance with study skills, or if you need to diagnose the areas you need to review.
Click here to find out which textbooks are available. Solutions manuals are provided when they are available.
Calculators are available throughout the room to assist with computations. If you need to borrow a calculator or textbook to take to class, the library circulation desk can help with that.
If you are not taking your class at TCC, there are still community wide resources available via our webpage. These include a variety of worksheets, videos and other suggested web resources.
