Internship Program
The TCC Internship Program’s mission is to provide TCC students of all disciplines with tangible work experience that complements the classroom; creating better prepared candidates for the workplace. Internships can help students:
- Learn about a career or industry from the inside
- Decide if a particular career path is right for them
- Work alongside a professional in a chosen career area
- Acquire new skills and enhance knowledge
- Apply ideas learned from school
- Develop confidence in a professional setting
- Practice communication and teamwork skills
- Network with new people
- Demonstrate initiative, reliability and responsibility
- Transition between school and the professional world
- Enhance resumes for future employment and graduate school applications
- Open the door to a job offer or other career path opportunities
Students are matched with an internship opportunity. Resumes are sent to employers for review, and employers will decide to invite a student to interview with them. If a student is successful in securing an internship, he/she will negotiate their schedule directly with the employer.
Students interested in participating in the TCC Internship Program should complete and submit proper paperwork and schedule an interview with an internship coordinator. For more information, visit the students’ area.
