Big Bend Homeless Coalition

Provides temporary housing for women and families through its HOPE Community program. In addition to providing housing, it offers assistance with employment, family/child care services, health care, mental health services, and substance abuse services. It also seeks to provide more permanent housing solutions for veterans, those with disabilities, and people with long histories of homelessness.

The Good Samaritan Network

This is a Christian ministry that provides food, clothing, and transitional housing for men, women, and children. The Chelsea House is a housing program for women and children. CARE and the Good Samaritan House are housing programs for men. The Good Samaritan Network accepts applications for these programs on their website.

Refuge House

Provides emergency shelter for individuals and families who are at risk of violence (including domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking). There is one shelter in Leon County and one in Taylor County. Refuge House also offers a 24-hour crisis hotline, counseling, support groups, rape crisis services, transitional housing, and legal services.    

ECHO Outreach Ministries

Provides food, bus passes, clothing vouchers, toiletries, baby items, school supplies, and household items to those who need them. The ministry gives these items out at their main office (the address above) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 9 - 11:30 a.m. and 1 - 4:30 p.m. They are also open on Fridays between 9 a.m. and noon. The ministry also provides temporary housing for women and families who qualify for their program.

Better Living Solutions is a local outpatient center for eating wellness and counseling services. They specialize in helping people with eating disorders, and they offer individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, nutritional counseling, and meal support every week. The Counseling Center invites TCC students to Workshop Wednesdays in the Student Union (Room 189) at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the first four Wednesdays of the month. Students will have the opportunity to access strategies and skills for personal growth and development.

TCC Learning Commons

The TCC Learning Commons provides open access computing, tutoring and other learning resources to TCC students. Subject areas include math, science, accounting, economics, computer programming, English grammar/mechanics, English for Academic Purposes, reading and writing, and instructional technology.

TCC Foreign Language Lab

In order to assist students on the road to mastering a foreign language, TCC offers one-on-one foreign language tutoring. Students may meet with a tutor during scheduled hours for additional assistance with grammar, pronunciation, and/or composition as it relates to their current foreign language studies.

TCC Student Accessibility Services

Have you previously been diagnosed with ADHD or a learning disability? This office assists students in receiving educational accommodations, academic advising, and other educational support services.
