HESI A2 Admission Test

The HESI A2 Admission Test is the entrance exam that is required for all students applying to certain Healthcare Programs at Tallahassee Community College. The test is composed of nine subtests, however TCC's programs only requires the following four subtests:

  • Grammar
  • Math
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Vocabulary

For admission consideration, the TCC programs require a minimum score of 75 percent in each section of the exam. This is the average for the areas tested. The test score is translated into points. For example, a score of 81 percent translates to 81 points towards admission. In addition to the overall score, twenty additional points may be earned towards admission based on the scores in: reading, vocabulary, grammar and math.

Please contact the Testing Center at (850) 201-8282 to schedule an appointment.

Score Range Additional Points for Each Area
80-89.99 3 additional points
90-100 5 additional points

The fee for the test is $39 for TCC students and $64 for Non-TCC students. All fees must be paid to the TCC Cashier's Office. Students must schedule an appointment 24-48 hours in advance of the requested test date.
