Tallahassee Community College hosts first-ever Fall commencement ceremony

The Tallahassee Community College alumni family grew by 1,705 new graduates as the College held it’s first-ever Fall commencement ceremony on Saturday, Dec, 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Donald L. Bank of America gives $250,000 grant to TCC for Med Lab Tech Program

Tallahassee Community College announced a $250,000 grant from Bank of America today. The grant funds will be used create a Medical Lab Tech Program at TCC’s Ghazvini Center for Healthcare Education. “This grant will allow us to support a cohort of 20 students from their first day of college to their completion of the program,” said Dr. Calandra Stringer, Provost and VP for Academic Affairs at Tallahassee Community College. TCC Workforce Development receives Pathways to Career Opportunities Grant

Tallahassee Community College’s Division of Workforce Development has been awarded $169,901 through the Pathways to Career Opportunities Grant from the Florida Department of Education (FDOE). The grant funds were made available to establish new or expand existing registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs. TCC Foundation announces $200,000 gift earmarked for Workforce Development efforts

The Tallahassee Community College Foundation announced a $200,000 gift to benefit its workforce development programs. The donor has chosen to remain anonymous. The announcement was made at the Tallahassee Community College District Board of Directors Meeting on Monday, Nov. 16, 2021. The gift will be used to fund ten welding booths in the new Welding Lab opening in January and Wakulla Workforce Scholarships, 35 full-tuition scholarships in the trades for residents of Wakulla County. TCC Model United Nations team returns from Washington, DC

November 10, 2021

Tallahassee Community College Model United Nations (TCC MUN) traveled to Washington, DC, for National Model United Nations – DC, held from November 5 through 7, where they joined more than 850 delegates from 81 American Colleges and Universities, each representing a different country in discussing and finding solutions to important international issues. Chuck Moore named Director of Athletics at Tallahassee Community College

Tallahassee Community College has named Chuck Moore its new Director of Athletics. A native of Hampton, Virginia, Moore earned a degree in Business Administration from Christopher Newport University and a Masters in Sports Management from American Public University. Moore began his collegiate basketball coaching career at Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, Va., where he posted a record of 48-16.
