Tallahassee Community College offers many different types of scholarships to new, continuing, returning, and transfer students. Scholarship eligibility is based criteria such as on academics, program of study, community service, extracurricular activities, residency, campus/club organization, financial need, veteran, etc.
By submitting the TCC Scholarship Application, you will be matched to available scholarships in which you meet the minimum criteria. It is possible to be considered for multiple scholarships by submitting the scholarship application.
How to Apply
1. Create your TCC scholarship account

2. Log in and click on the scholarship application to begin

3. Answer all required and applicable questions
4. Provide at least two letters of recommendations
Recommendations can be submitted on-line by providing your recommender’s name and email address on the recommendation section of the scholarship application. An email request will be sent the person you have identified to complete a recommendation for you. Be sure to discuss and get permission from your recommender before you provide your recommenders information on your scholarship application. Letters of Recommendations are very important and are required to be considered for most scholarships.
5. Submit the FAFSA
(Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at https://studentaid.gov/ Some scholarships require applicants to demonstrate financial need. To determine financial need, the FAFSA is required.
6. Submit the scholarship application by the required deadline

7. Monitor your email account
Log on to your email account you provided on your scholarship application periodically to check for updates and/or notifications.

TCC Foundation
The TCC Foundation is committed to ensuring student success through scholarships to both traditional and non-traditional students. Each year, more than 400 students receive financial assistance from the TCC Foundation scholarships.

To have your Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Award applied to your tuition at TCC you must:
1. Inform the FL Bright Futures Scholarship Program you are attending TCC
TCC must be identified as your Post-Secondary Institution (PSI) . To update your PSI, contact the FL Bright Futures Scholarship Program customer service at 1-888-827-2004 or http://www.floridastudentfinancialaid.org/
2. You must be fully admitted to TCC
All required transcripts, test scores, etc. must be received and evaluated by the TCC Admissions & Records Office.
3. Florida residency must be established
Florida Residency must be established by the TCC Admissions & Records Office.
4. You must have a Social Security Number on file in Workday
Your social security number with the TCC Admissions & Records Office must match with the social security number the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program has on file for you.
5. You must be accepted into your program of study at TCC
The classes you enroll in must be required for your TCC program of study.
6. Use caution when dropping or withdrawing from your course(s) after the Drop/Add deadlines
You must reimburse the college for the cost of course(s) dropped or withdrawn after the initial drop/add period. Due to verifiable illness or emergency, you can submit an appeal to the TCC Scholarship Office for hours dropped or withdrawn after the last day of the drop/add period. The form can be found on MyTCC under Tools/Student Resources/Student Forms/Financial Aid.
