Accounting and Finance

Currently we offer two courses in accounting and finance for professionals.  Both courses are offered in an online format. These courses provide basic accounting fundamentals and an introduction to the field of accounting. 

Accounting Fundamentals I

Demand for accounting professionals currently exceeds supply. If you’re interested in increasing your financial awareness and accountability while also gaining a marketable skill, this course is for you.

Learn how to:
  • Identify the basics of double-entry bookkeeping
  • Analyze and record financial transactions and design various financial reports at the end of the fiscal period
  • Design accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll procedures, sales taxes and various common banking activities.  
Target Audience: Accounting personnel, bookkeepers, supervisors and mid-management

Accounting Fundamentals II

While it is true that accounting professionals are scarce, those with corporate accounting experience are even more rare. This course will provide you with a solid understanding of corporate practice.
Learn how to: 
  • Develop special journals, uncollectible accounts receivable, plant assets, depreciation, notes and interest
  • Accrue revenue and expenses, dividends, retained earnings and various financial reports for corporations
  • Plan budgets to translate managerial decisions into dollars.
